Over the week, Russia has carried out one of its largest series of air attacks on Ukraine, launching more than 1,500 strike drones, nearly 900 guided aerial bombs, and 46 missiles of various types, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
In a Telegram post, Zelensky said emergency services are working to restore electricity, heating, and water supplies damaged by strikes on energy infrastructure.

However, the situation remains difficult, with hundreds of thousands of families still without power in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
“Russia is dragging out the war and wants to do as much harm as possible to our people,” Zelensky said. “In just one week, the Russians launched more than 1,500 strike drones, almost 900 guided aerial bombs, and 46 missiles into Ukraine.”
He added that Ukraine remains ready for constructive diplomacy aimed at achieving a just peace and expects support from international partners as negotiations continue in the coming days.
Early on Dec. 14, Russian forces again launched a massive drone attack on the Odesa region, damaging energy, transport, industrial, and civilian infrastructure, according to Odesa regional military administration head Oleh Kiper.
No casualties were reported, and critical infrastructure is operating on generators, while “invincibility points” were deployed to assist residents.

Later this morning, Russian forces struck the city of Zaporizhzhia, hitting a grocery store in a residential area. Regional administration head Ivan Fedorov said six people were injured, including a child and a State Emergency Service (DSNS) employee, as emergency crews continued to respond amid ongoing attacks.
In a report issued at 7:31 p.m., the DSNS said the number of people injured in the shelling of Zaporizhzhia has risen to 14. Those injured include one child, three DSNS personnel, and one patrol police officer.
Emergency and rescue operations have been completed.
Early on Dec. 13, Russian forces carried out one of their largest attacks in recent months, launching over 450 strike drones and around 30 missiles at Ukraine, as per Zelensky.
The strikes mainly targeted energy and industrial infrastructure, particularly in southern regions and Odesa.
Thousands of families were left without electricity in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions, with additional strikes reported in Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy.
In Odesa, all traction substations were knocked out, halting tram and trolleybus services and leaving large parts of the city without heating and water. Neighboring Mykolaiv also suffered widespread power outages and damage to critical infrastructure.
