Russian forces launched another overnight attack on Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, striking multiple infrastructure facilities and leaving parts of the city without power.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, said on Telegram that neighborhoods in the Saksahanskyi district and parts of Pokrovskyi district remain without electricity following the shelling. Emergency repair work continued throughout the night and is still underway.

Most boiler houses in the city are operational, Vilkul said. Some are connected to the power grid, while others are running on generators.
Three large boiler houses have been gradually returning to normal operation since overnight, while one remains offline due to an emergency power outage, with repairs ongoing.
Water supply has been maintained across all districts. Most pumping stations are powered by the grid, with some operating on generators.
Two people were injured in the latest attack, one of them in moderate condition. In recent days, a total of 16 people have been hospitalized in Kryvyi Rih following Russian strikes, five of whom are in serious or moderate condition. Doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance.
The shelling also disrupted public transport, partially suspending express tram service and altering routes for two trolleybus lines.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, from 6 p.m. on Jan. 9 Russia launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 121 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of strike drones, around 80 of them Shaheds.
