A Russian missile strike overnight hit Nova Poshta’s innovation terminal in Kharkiv, killing four employees and injuring four others, the company said Tuesday, Jan. 13.

The attack, which Nova Poshta described as a targeted strike, almost completely destroyed the cargo terminal and partially damaged the postal facility, disrupting operations at one of the company’s key logistics hubs in northeastern Ukraine.

Nova Poshta is Ukraine’s largest private postal and logistics operator, also delivering humanitarian deliveries during the war.

Four people were wounded in the strike – three employees of the sorting center and one driver from a partner carrier.

The wounded are hospitalized and remain under medical supervision, with their lives not in danger, the company said in an Instagram post.

In a separate statement published on Instagram, the company identified the deceased as Viktor Parkhomenko, 37; Taras Vovk, 34; Yevhenii Yermakov, 39; and Dmytro Zakharov, 23.

“This is an indescribable pain that will remain in our hearts forever,” the company wrote. “We will never forget our colleagues.”
