The difference is that Israel has 6m very successful and influential Jews in the USA. Ukraine only has a moral argument.

As a 'westerner' I acknowledge and am greatly embarrassed by this double standard. I am embarrassed at the stupidity of most leadership to continue to trickle in defensive weapons rather than supply those that would result in a decisive and quicker Ukrainian victory.
It lately seems the only way to get continued USA attention these days is to blow up Russian oil refineries. Otherwise both sides lately seem content to sit on their butts. Fortunately the US has never been the moral compass for many of Ukraine's other die hard allies.
I have no ties to either country, but clearly the case to actively defend Ukraine compared to Israel is so much stronger. The case to maintain a no fly zone in Ukraine is so much stronger. Yet still no western fighters protecting its airspace? WTF.
All I can do is channel my anger to hound my nation's leadership to do more.....and donate more personal funds for Ukraine to build its own weapons.
