As of July 7, Russia has lost 1,027,540 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,100 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). 

Russian casualties in Ukraine surpassed one million on June 16.

The figures include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries. 

Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far

The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:

  • 22,963 armored fighting vehicles (including seven over the past day)
  • 54,370 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 118 over the past day)
  • 29,993 artillery systems (including 33 over the past day)
  • 44,058 drones (including 233 over the past day)
  • 10,995 tanks (including three over the past day)
  • 1,432 multiple launch rocket systems (including two over the past day)
  • 1,192 anti-aircraft systems
  • 421 airplanes
  • 340 helicopters
  • 28 ships and boats
  • one submarine

The General Staff said it recorded 184 clashes across the front on Sunday, July 6.
