Aug 1 An anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) kills three in a minibus at Dovhove, Kherson Region. A missile attack on Mykolaiv damages houses, a hospital, and a humanitarian warehouse. Missiles strike residential areas in Nikopol, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, several women and children seriously wounded, infrastructure, a cafe and a sewing factory damaged – widescale power outages.

Aug 2 A morning missile strike on Mykolaiv causes fires and destroys a supermarket. A missile attack on Synelnykove and Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region causes widespread damage including powerlines.

Aug 3 55 “arrivals” hit Yunakivska, Myropilska, and Krasnopilska, Sumy region destroying houses, commercial buildings, and civil infrastructure. 24 separate aircraft missile attacks and artillery strikes on Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Niu-York, Karlivka, Maksymilianivka, and Pisky, Donetsk region, destroyed houses, a service station, and warehouses –  many killed and wounded.

Aug 4 Attacks on infrastructure in Novooleksandrivka, Zaporizhzhia region, cut water and power supplies, a power worker injured. Eight killed in strike on bus stop in Toretsk, Donetsk region. Russian forces fired from Zaporizhzhia NPP on Ukrainian positions raising risk of nuclear incident. Infrastructure in Kharkiv hit by missiles launched from Belgorod.

Nemyshlyansky, Industrialny and Novobavarsky districts of Kharkiv hit with S-300 missiles fired from Belgorod.

Aug 7 Missiles strike farms, houses and infrastructure in several areas of Kharkiv, five killed and wheat fields set ablaze.

Aug 8 Missile strikes on Chuhuiv, Derhachi and Kutuzivka, Kharkiv region kill seven and injure 12. Seven civilians killed and at least 19 injured in strikes on Chasiv Yar, Novoselivka Persha, and Marinka, Donetsk region. Civilians killed and injured by Soviet-era PMN and PFM anti-personnel landmines in areas of the Donbas. Velyka Kostromka, Dnipropetrovsk region struck with artillery. Mines and explosives laid in the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Two power workers injured by debris from intercepted missile in Uman region. Missile, air and artillery strikes on Bakhmut, Marinka, Avdiivka and Ocheretyne, Donetsk region destroy residential buildings, utilities and shops.

Aug 9 S-300 missiles hit Nikopol and the Kakhovsky Reservoir, Dnipropetrovsk region, wounding two, and damaging waterpipes and a gas main. 23 more bodies, 22 men and one woman, found in Bucha and Myrotske, Kyiv region – all had been tortured and shot.

Aug 10 Six killed and three injured in missile strikes on Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

Thirteen killed and 11 injured in missile strike aimed at the power supply in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, widescale power outages.

Aug 11 Missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in Novovorontsovka, Dobrianka and Trudoliubivka Kherson region, killed three and damage private houses. Ten building fires caused by overnight shelling in Kharkiv – strikes continue as firefighters start work.

Aug 12 Missile attack on substations and gas station in Zaporizhzhia kills one and injure two. 200 separate strikes from aircraft, artillery and missiles reported in border areas of Sumy region, cause widespread damage. Missile strikes against infrastructure in border areas of Dnipropetrovsk region.

Aug 13 Massive shelling on eight border villages in the Sumy region, massive destruction and livestock injured. Widescale kidnapping and torture of NPP personnel in Zaporizhzhia.

Aug 14 Enerhodar shelled from Zaporizhzhia NPP, one killed, two injured. Overnight missile attack aimed in Zmiyiv, Kharkiv region injures three and destroys critical infrastructure. Attacks on energy supplies in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, and Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv region, houses, garages, and farm buildings destroyed. 17 civilian buildings damaged in Nikopol, Marhanets, and Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, gas pipelines and power lines hit with power outages.

Aug 15 50 strikes reported in Sumy region border areas. Bakhmut, Donetsk region hit with multiple missiles destroying 24 residential houses and civilian objects. Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region hit by missiles causing damage to infrastructure.

Aug 16 Energy company workers carrying out infrastructure repairs shelled in Orihiv, Zaporizhzhia region and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. More than 20 civilians injured by artillery and missile attacks using cluster munitions in Avdiivka, Kurakhovo, Karlivka, Maksimilianivka, Yasnohirka, Sloviansk, Mykolaivka, Fedorivka, Soledar and Bakhmut, Donetsk region. Kharkiv city hit by massive missile bombardment, aimed at infrastructure facilities and public transport network, six people killed and another 16 injured.

Aug 17 S-300 missile strikes on the city of Mykolaiv, hit a local university and infrastructure.

Aug 18 Mortar attack on Myropillia, Sumy region, destroys buildings. 21 civilians killed in overnight Iskander ballistic and S-300 missile strikes on Kharkiv and Krasnohrad. One killed and two injured in missile attack on Mykolaiv.

Aug 19 10 houses damaged by shelling in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. Missiles fired on emergency workers reacting to initial attack. Missile strikes in Myrove, Ternopil region, Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region and Bakhmut, Donetsk region destroy hospital and infrastructure. A strike on Kramatorsk, Donetsk region destroys two educational institutions. S-300 missile strikes on Mykolaiv, damage 16 residential buildings.

Aug 20 Missiles hit Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region injuring seven, three of them children. S-300 missiles fired at factories in Mykolaiv.

Aug 21 Missiles hit Kharkiv and Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, destroy schools and houses injureg seven, including two children. Airstrikes hit six towns in the Luhansk region, destroy and damage residential and administrative buildings.

Aug 22 Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant in Enerhodar struck and damaged, killing one and injuring several others. Missiles strike six settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, apartments, a school, a shopping area, and a sports complex destroyed, dozens injured. Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, hit with cluster munitions. Overnight missile attack from Belgorod damages infrastructure in Kharkiv.

Aug Three towns in Sumy region shelled caused extensive damage. Missile strikes against critical infrastructure in Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi region. A missile strike kills 20 and injures 50 at the Chaplyne railway station, Dnipropetrovsk region. Infrastructure in Myrhorod, Poltava region hit with air-to-surface missiles, killing several civilians. Agricultural areas in Dnipropetrovsk region hit by missiles and air-launched missiles.

Aug 25 Sumy region shelled three times with phosphorus munitions. Missile strikes on Slovyansk, Donetsk region cause extensive damage to infrastructure. Widescale missile strikes on Chaplyne, Dnipropetrovsk region and Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region. Overnight shelling of Synelnykove and Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region injures eight, including three children and destroys electrical infrastructure.

Aug 26 Five people killed, including two children, in shelling of residential buildings in Kamianka, Zaporizhzhia region. Sloviansk, Donetsk region shelled, significant destruction. No mains water, power or gas in Mariupol, residents have to collect water from puddles.

Aug 27 Educational institution destroyed by missile attack. Civilians tortured and abducted in Kherson region. 200 shells fired on the border areas of the Sumy region, destroy infrastructure. Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region hit with two S-300 missiles, an administration building and two multi-story buildings damaged. 20 buildings and power lines damaged after artillery strikes on Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region. Cluster munition strike on Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.

Aug 29 12 missiles fired on Mykolaiv, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings in the city, two killed and 24 injured.

Aug 30 Apartment building destroyed by artillery strike in Kharkiv city, four killed and 11 injured. Red Cross human aid delivery to Mariupol cancelled for fear of “hunger riots.” Missile attack on Mykolaiv, kills two and 24 wounded. Evacuation team base in Sloviansk, Donetsk region shelled. Missile attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region damage power lines, gas pipeline, a bus station, shops and childrens’ library.

Aug 31 Bilopillia, Shalyhine, and Krasnopillia, Sumy region and Kryvyi Rih, Synelnykove, Velykomykhaylivk and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region suffered cross-border shelling. A boy dies after picking up an unexploded shell in Nikopol.

SEPTEMBER 2022

Sep 1 Air, missile and artillery attacks destroy a kindergarten, agricultural warehouses, a recreation center, and 25 residential buildings in 15 locations in the Donestk region, large number of civilians killed and wounded. Route for IAEA inspectors to Zaporizhzhia NPP shelled. Kharkiv region hit with five S-300 missiles launched from Belgorod.

Sep 2 Shelling of eight settlements in the border areas in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Over 130 hits sparks evacuation. Foreign journalists prevented from entering Zaporizhzhia NPP to cover IAEA visit. Russian troops and equipment “hidden,” internet and mobile coverage “jammed” during visit and all damage blamed on Kyiv.

Sep 3 Overnight missile attacks on Novobavarsky and Kholodnohirsky districts of Kharkiv city damages a school and houses. Cluster munitions strike Vysunsk, Mykolaiv region, killing four children under 11.

Sep 4 S-300 missile attack on Ochakiv, Voznesensk and Mykolaiv city, destroys a silo storing grain, health and educational institutions, a hotel, houses, a factory and museum. Missiles launched from close to Zaporizhzhia NPP, prevents Ukrainian response. Missile attacks destroy a restaurant complex in Kharkiv, bring down power lines and seriously damage apartment blocks.

Sep 5 Overnight attacks bring down power lines and damage houses in the Sumy region. 25 missile attacks and 22 airstrikes destroy civil infrastructure, grain warehouses, schools, shops, an enterprise, and residential buildings in locations in Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions.

Sep 6 A missile attack sets an oil depot on fire in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. A missile attack damages a high-rise building in Kharkiv. 140 mortar strikes were recorded in the Sumy region. A missile strike on Sloviansk, Donetsk region destroys four houses.

Sep 7 Mortars fired at Sumy region – a total of 17 strikes. Missiles fired at humanitarian distribution center in Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region, killing three and injuring five. Missile strikes hit a hotel complex and a health center in Kharkiv. Missile strikes in Kramatorsk, Heorhivka, Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka, Donetsk region kill three and wound two, destroy a psychiatric hospital and damag civilian infrastructure.

Sep 8 A missile hits an apartment block in Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Region. Two killed and five injured in heavy artillery strikes on Kharkiv damaging houses, a school, administrative and industrial buildings. Cluster munitions strike residential areas and infrastructure in eight towns in the Donetsk region – twelve civilians killed and four rescue workers injured. Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol District struck with missiles and heavy artillery a solar panel farm, power lines and 11 homes damaged.

Sep 9 Missile attack hits four districts in Kharkiv killing four, an administrative building destroyed, homes and infrastructure damaged. Infrastructure supporting 23 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region hit by missiles and artillery.

Sep 10 Overnight missile attack on Kharkiv damage residential and administrative buildings, three killed and one injured. Six villages in Sumy region hit by cross-border shelling on infrastructure. Six S-300 missiles hit Synelnykove, Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging a farm, 10 residential buildings, 12 utility buildings, a gas pipeline, and power lines. Kh-59 and S-300 missiles fired at Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk region destroy a factory and warehouse.

Sep 11 Missile attacks destroy electricity supplies in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Artillery strikes on Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Bakhmut, and Raigorodka, Donetsk region kill ten and wound 19 civilians. Missile strikes injure one and damage administrative buildings, shops, a market, warehouses and residential buildings in Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk region. Shelling of Mykolaiv injures nine.

Sep 12 Strikes against thermal PPs and 40 electricity substations kill four and cut electricity and gas supplies in Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy and Donetsk regions. A maternity hospital in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region struck by a missile.

Sep 13 Overnight S-300 missiles hit a college, infrastructure and residential buildings in Mykolaiv killing two and injuring six. A missile attack on Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region damages power lines. Five killed and 10 wounded after shelling in the Donetsk region. Shelling of Lozova, Kharkiv region destroys residential buildings.

Sep 14 Mortar and artillery fire on Krasnopil and Khotyn, Sumy region damages homes and infrastructure. Eight Russian cruise missiles hit Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region damage hydraulic structures causing flooding from the Inhulets river. A missile strike destroys a sports complex in Mykolaiivka, Donetsk region. Shelling of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region damages residential areas.

Sep 15 Mass graves found near Izium and Balaklia, Kharkiv region. Critical infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region hit with cruise missiles. Infrastructure in Petrivska, Kirovohrad region hit with missiles.

Sep 16 Seven settlements in the Donetsk region shelled causing civilian casualties. Exhumation of a mass grave in liberated Izium, Kharkiv region reveals 450 bodies of civilians many with hands tied behind their backs. Missile strikes on Kryvyi Rih again turn the Ingulets River red as iron oxide released by iron works.

Sep 17 Two women killed when a tank fires on their car in Streleche, Kharkiv region. Shelling injures ten, destroys residential and farm buildings, gas stations, garages, and factories in Kharkiv. Shelling killed three civilians in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.

Sep 18 Missiles fired at Mykolaiv damage the city hospital, car showroom and a factory. Two die, three injured in overnight missile attacks on Nikopol and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region. High-rise and several farm buildings, gas pipelines, and power lines damaged.

Sep 19 Missile attack on Zaporizhzhia damages regional headquarters building and injures one. Nikopol and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region hit with missiles and heavy artillery damages 10 houses, several farm buildings, vehicles, water pipes and power lines leaving 2,500 families without electricity.

Sep 20 Two civilians killed and nine, including four children, injured by shelling of Kupyansk district, Kharkiv region. Shelling in the Zaporizhzhia region, kills one and injures seven, homes, farm buildings, and agricultural machinery destroyed. S-300 missile strike on Slovyansk, Donetsk region destroys a furniture shop. Strikes on four communities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions destroy private homes and injure four civilians. Bakhmut, Khromov, Avdiivka, Siversk and Vuhledar, Donetsk region shelled, many killed.

Sep 21 Civilians wounded, infrastructure and buildings badly damaged by missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Air and missile attacks in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions injure many and damage public buildings and infrastructure. Shahed kamikaze drones in the Mikolayiv region wound many and damage homes, power lines, and civil infrastructure. Bombardment of Nikopol and Kryvorizkyi, Dnipropetrovsk region damages high-rise buildings, gas pipelines, power lines, a kindergarten, and library. 350 families left without electricity.

Sep 22 Nine-story building in Toretsk, Donetsk region hit by missiles. Cross-border artillery strikes Sumy and Chernihiv regions, wounds three and damages infrastructure. Parachute-retarded FAB-500 bombs dropped on Kupyansk, Kharkiv region failed to explode. Missiles fired at factory in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. Mykolaiv comes under heavy shelling civil infrastructure damaged. Missiles hit a central hotel, TV tower and infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Missiles and Shahed drones hit Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, killing three and damage high-rise buildings, a gas pipeline, power lines, two hospitals, a school, a museum, administrative buildings, several shops and a market.

Sep 23 Border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions bombarded, injuring four. Heavy artillery attacked Marhanets and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region killing two and wounding nine, 10 houses damaged.

Sep 24 Shahed kamikaze drones strike Odesa, killing two. Marganetsk and Chervonogrihorove, Dnipropetrovsk region hit by missiles wounding two and damaging more than 30 buildings.

Sep 25 Missile and artillery attacks on Nikopol and Marhanka, Dnipropetrovsk region, leaves more than 5,000 families without electricity and causes widespread. Missiles that hit Mykolaiv damage water supply. Civilian convoy fired on near Kurylivka, Kharkiv region, at least 22, including 10 children, killed.

Sep 26 High-rise buildings and a church school damaged by strikes on Kramatorsk and Kupyansk, Donetsk region, four injured. Several killed by missile attack on Pervomaisky, Kharkiv region. Shelling of eleven settlements in Donetsk region throughout the day. An industrial zone in Mykolaiv hit with missiles, buildings damaged and warehouse destroyed. Seven-hour barrage on Dnipropetrovsk region hits buildings and infrastructure. Shahed drones hit Odesa region leading to evacuation of the civilian population.

Sep 27 In Mykolaivka, Donetsk region S-300 hits school 12 wounded. S-300 missiles destroy infrastructure in Kharkiv. Strikes on the region, wound more than a dozen. Missiles strike Slovyansk, Donetsk region, damaging private houses, cutting off gas and water supply. In occupied areas of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions civilians forced at gun point to “correctly” fill out referendum ballots, on accession to Russia. Shelling in Kharkiv destroys a church school. Missiles destroy infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia.

Sep 29 Three killed and 12 injured by cluster munition strike on bus stop in Mykolaiv. Missile strikes on Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk region kill three, damage several multi-story buildings and bring down power lines. 10 civilians wounded by missile attacks on Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.

Sep 30 Three killed, five wounded in attack on bus depot in Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk region. A high-rise building, hit by a missile attack in Mykolaiv declared unsafe, six more high-rise buildings damaged. Putin signs decrees recognizing Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions as “independent territories.”
