Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday condemned Russia’s deadly missile and drone attack on Kyiv, blaming what he called a “coalition of murderers” – Russia, Iran, and North Korea – for spreading terror beyond Ukraine’s borders.
At least six people were killed in Kyiv, and another person died in Bila Tserkva, south of the capital, after waves of Russian missiles and Iranian-made Shahed drones slammed into residential buildings overnight, officials said.

“Everyone in countries near Russia, Iran, and North Korea should think about whether they can protect their lives if this coalition of murderers continues to spread terror,” Zelensky wrote on social media.
The attack damaged civilian infrastructure in four districts of Kyiv, leaving behind shattered homes and debris as rescue crews worked to clear the rubble.
According to Zelensky, Russia launched 352 drones during the assault, including 159 Shaheds, along with 16 missiles. He also said preliminary information indicated North Korean ballistic missiles were used.
“After the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, there was a lot of noise from Moscow, with Russia loudly condemning ‘missile and bomb’ steps,” Zelensky said.
“Today, Moscow is silent after its army launched an absolutely cynical blow with Russian-Iranian Shaheds and missiles at civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and other cities.”
Romania Wants to Boost Air Defence After Drone Strike Blamed on Russia
Zelensky, speaking from London during a visit to the United Kingdom, said he would urge Ukraine’s allies to strengthen air defenses and increase pressure on Russia.
“We will also agree on new, strong steps to stop the strikes and increase pressure on Russia,” he added.
The latest attack comes less than a week after one of the deadliest strikes on the capital this year. On June 17, a Russian ballistic missile hit a residential building in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, completely destroying part of the structure and killing 28 people. In total, 35 people have been killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv in just the past week.
